Verus Lubricants has extended its partnership with Canobolas Motorsport Services for 2026, continuing a program that puts Verus product into three quite different forms of competition inside the one workshop.

Canobolas Motorsport Services competes in:

National circuit racing, where an engine and driveline sit at sustained temperature and load for a full race distance
State rallying, on loose surfaces, with dust and water ingress, shock loading through the driveline and repeated cold starts between stages
State hillclimbs, where a car goes from ambient to peak in well under a minute and gets no time to stabilise

Very few sponsorships give a lubricant supplier that range of duty cycles from a single team. It is the reason Verus is involved.

"It is with great pride that we welcome Chematek S.p.A. and their global lubricant brand Verus back to the Canobolas Motorsport Services family for another year," said Nigel Buttriss, Canobolas Motorsport Services. "The product and the technical support behind it make this an agreement where both parties grow together. Motorsport is a team sport, and Verus is now an integral part of ours across every discipline we compete in."

The data side of the arrangement is the part that matters commercially. Oil samples and component wear from three disciplines go back to Verus's technical team, which confirms how current formulations behave at the limit and informs what gets developed next.

"A rally car and a circuit car ask opposite things of an oil, and a hillclimb car asks something different again," said Claire Rushe, Verus Lubricants. "Getting all three from one team, with a workshop that actually records what it finds, is worth more to us than any amount of signage. We take that information back to the people who formulate the product."

Verus is the lubricants brand of Chematek S.p.A., an Italian industrial technology company. Formulation, blending and supply sit under one roof, which is what allows evidence from a race workshop to reach the people who can act on it.
