PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA - Verus Lubricants has renewed its sponsorship of Merger Motorsport for 2026, a third consecutive year backing the Perth-based 410 sprintcar team.

Merger Motorsport has raced out of Perth since 2015. The team took its first major win at the 2022 Krikke Boys Shootout at Bunbury Speedway with Kris Coyle behind the wheel, the first West Australian driver to win that event in two decades. Its home campaign is the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series, where a third place in the 2020/21 championship stands as the team's best finish to date.

A 410 sprintcar is an unusually honest test of a lubricant. Around 900 horsepower, no gearbox, methanol fuel and a loose dirt surface; parts run hot, load up in an instant and get pulled down and inspected between meetings. Whatever an oil did or failed to do is on the bench in front of you within a fortnight.

That is the reason Verus is in speedway rather than in a grandstand advertisement.

Merger Motorsport runs on Verus product across the workshop, with technical support from the Chematek ANZ team in Perth.
