Verus branding appears on Ben Bargwanna's Mustang for the final two rounds of the 2025 Trico Trans Am Series.
Verus Lubricants has partnered with Bargwanna Motorsport for the closing rounds of the 2025 Trico Trans Am Series, putting the brand on Ben Bargwanna's Ford Mustang for two events in the space of ten days.
The first is the Hi-Tec Oils Mallala Homecoming at Mallala Motorsport Park on 21 and 22 November, a day-night program with three races run in quick succession. The second is the BP Adelaide Grand Final from 27 to 30 November, where Trans Am supports the Supercars Championship on the Adelaide street circuit and the season title is settled.
Back-to-back weekends on opposite ends of the difficulty scale is what makes this a useful pairing. Mallala is an old-school permanent circuit with long corners and sustained load. Adelaide is concrete-lined public road, where brake and driveline temperatures climb with no run-off and no margin for a mistake. Teams strip and reset a car between the two with days rather than weeks to do it.
Bargwanna Motorsport runs the #97 Mustang, the car that took the 2023 TA2 Muscle Car Series title. Ben Bargwanna stepped into Trans Am for 2025 after four seasons in TCR Australia, where he took three race wins and ten podium finishes. His father Jason, the 2000 Bathurst 1000 winner, is closely involved in the operation and brings experience in the category as both a driver and an engineer. Jason is managing the Verus partnership directly.
For Verus, this is a first move into Australian circuit racing. Trans Am is an all-V8 category with a large grid, free-to-air coverage and an audience that overlaps heavily with the workshops, distributors and trade customers Verus sells through. The Adelaide Grand Final is the biggest weekend on the Australian motorsport calendar outside Bathurst, which makes it a substantial place for a challenger brand to be seen.
Verus branding carries on the bonnet, rear wing, rear bar and front guards for both events. Content from Mallala and Adelaide will appear across Verus channels through December.
