Five Decades of Experience
Chematek has spent five decades supplying oil refineries and heavy industry worldwide. Refinery customers are demanding. They know the chemistry as well as we do and require highly accurate product specifications. The Verus range is built on forty years of meeting that standard.
Design & Chemistry
Verus is the only lubricant brand developed by a company that designs and builds refineries and formulates its own chemicals. Most lubricant brands buy their base oil and buy their additive package. Chematek designs the refineries that produce the base oil and formulates the chemistry that goes into the additives.
Formulation expertise
Blends get signed off by formulators who have spent their careers in lubricants. If a Verus product carries a performance claim, its been developed and signed off by experienced operators.

Verus means true in Latin. Dr Giovanni Papandrea founded Chematek on the view that the chemistry can always be done better, and that is still how the formulations get treated. They get reviewed as OEM and industry specifications move, and superseded grades come off the range rather than sitting on it.
Held To The Standard
Chematek operates under the European Engine Lubricant Quality Management System and follows the ATIEL Code of Practice for lubricants making ACEA performance claims. Both are external frameworks with audit behind them. Any Verus product carrying an ACEA claim has been developed and marketed inside that system.
Global Scope. Local Focus.
Chematek runs regional bases in Italy, Australia, the USA, Singapore, India and China. That network is how we get access to the base oils and additive technology we want. Everything after that is local. What a Queensland mine site needs from a hydraulic oil is a different conversation from a workshop in northern Italy.
Progressive & Agile
Verus runs lean and keeps direct control from formulation through to delivery. Ask for a custom blend or a pack size that isn't standard and the person who decides is someone you can get on the phone. Getting the same answer out of a multinational takes considerably longer.
